As a solo performer SAM JONES has travelled extensively around Europe, playing in pubs, cafes, bars & live music venues in England, Wales, Isle of Man, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic & Poland. His set draws on songs from his extensive back catalogue as a songwriter, arranger, recording artist & producer. Last year a collection of his works was compiled to create his first official debut album entitled RETROSPECTIVE released on his own Camouflage Records, promoted & distributed by UK Subs related record label ‘Time and Matter Recordings’. The album of milestones features some notable contributors such as Charlie Harper (UK Subs) & Brian James (The Damned). If you want to read his rich history working with big names in the Punk movement, his long awaited studio solo album & his solo gigs which have taken him all over Europe (leading him to eventually live in Poland) then visit:

Jones currently resides in central Poland spawning a mod/punk hybrid covers band come ‘Sam Jones tribute act’ called ANGRY TOWN. The original band played a total of 7 (extremely well received) shows in Poland & released a cover of The Damned’s ‘New Rose’ as their debut single on Christmas Day. A bootleg-styled album ‘Live In Poland’ was complied after the band split to further celebrate their live set. After a period of inactivity Sam Jones recently resurfaced under the Angry Town umbarella to record a cover of Joan Jett & The Blackhearts’ (version of) ‘Real Wild Child’ as a multi-instrumentalist & vocalist. The track was used to bridge the gap between the original Poland-based band & a specially formed Liverpool-based line-up featuring John Robb (The Membranes) & Ged Lynn (The Stairs) who will release a 4 track EP entitled ‘Sister Of The Storm’. If you want to see how much interest surrounded the band in Poland last year & what they are up to now with new material & a tour of Poland in the pipeline then visit:
